The department of English has its inception since the establishment of the College itself in the year 2013. The department began by offering general courses to both the Higher Secondary First year and B.A 1st Semester general course. The major course introduced for the first time from the session 2015-2016 under the Bodoland University.
At present the department offers both the general and major courses for B.A program.

- Convey knowledge of literary history, literary forms, literary history and a wide array of vocabularies and practices used to consider them.
